The hire of safety equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel / probe) and the costs for the state-certified mountain or ski guide are included in the price.

Important notes

Freeride route: The choice of route is always decided by us on site and depending on the weather due to the objective and major dangers | Safety first: Safety is our top priority. Outside of secured pistes, you should never be out and about without avalanche transceiver equipment, probe and shovel!

Bookings: At least one week before. We cannot guarantee any availability for last minute bookings.

INFO: Off piste activities are always depend on the current avalanche situation, weather and snow conditions and and can also be canceled or rebooked.

Every morning 9.00 a. m., ski school office Mandarfen (Rifflseebahn valley station)

Contents:
Introduction to ski touring and off-piste terrain.
Improving ski technique, instruction on avalanche and safety equipment
Planning and execution of a ski tour, tips for ski touring

Programme:
2 ski tours, 1 off-piste descent

The mountain or ski guide decides flexibly which ski tour and which off-piste descent is most suitable.

Min. participants: 4 persons* | Max. participants: 6 persons | Level of ability: safe parallel turns on red piste (long & short radii) | Further requirements: sufficient physical condition for ascent (600 - 1000 metres altitude difference) and descent | Price excludes: costs for arrival & departure, lift ticket, overnight stay, further equipment

*If the minimum number of participants is not reached 2 weeks before the start of the course, the course will be cancelled or another date will be suggested.

Blue

Level of ability:

Do you think of yourself as a capable on piste skier? Let yourself be fascinated with your first powder experience.

Goal:

The focus here is to improve your ski / snowboard technique in off-piste terrain.

Red

Level of ability:

If you already have back country experience, you want to improve your technique and discover new runs this class is for you.

Goal:

Depending on how fit you are and your technical abilitys this course could show you some of Pitztals hidden treasures. Here you will also learn how to behave in back country.

Black

Level of ability:

You have a lot off-piste experience and good physical condition.

Goal:

Our guides will show you how to behave off-piste and will teach you risk management. Enjoy the freeride experiance! We will push you to your limits.
